With a pen in my hand and a curious mind I pondered on some differences in mindset and thought that differentiates a poor man from a rich man
1.we all love the idea of becoming rich and for various reasons; we tend to use these reasons as motivation to work hard;both the rich and the poor love to be rich but their reasons may differ.after all the major 3 have been catered for(food, shelter, clothing)the poor often think of using money to impress their people while the rich often use money to express themselves
2.there are many misconception about money we have often lent from different institutions;a poor man thinks money has some kind of emotion and can often influence you greatly while the rich knows money is neither good nor bad and has no emotion to it except the one you create within yourself
3.we have heard catching phases from tv commercials and religious forums about giving,we like and feel by helping others it makes us a better person and more acceptable in our society;tho I have no problem with giving but what I know is the rich are very careful when it comes to who and who they help while the poor derive joy in sharing what they have..
4.we have all seen banks with great advertisements or have even gotten calls from our account officers for great deals on savings for a period of time but the rich believes he can only get rich by investing while the poor often think he need to save in other to become rich
5.a poor man believes in his skill and capability to thrive in every bussiness that he is in charge of,and also believes he has to be the best brain in the bussiness while the rich believes he does not have to be the best but employ the best to make his bussiness better in every way.

BECOMING GREAT
Becoming great is a personal decision you have to make:it is a self thing rather than a title people give to you
To be great you have to constantly convince and remind yourself that you are;you have to do whatever it takes to be the best at whatever you do
If you can convince yourself and you are ready to give your last you will not only be great but also become one of the greatest in your field
If you think there is something in this world that is impossible you need to visit Dubai a desert turned into a paradise.
The truth is there is no such thing as impossible there is only a self limiting factor we often subject ourselves to,we often think it is cool to be average and to fit in as long as everyone is doing it
I am the greatest,I said that even before I knew I was
I figure that if I said it enough,I would convince the world I really was the greatest~Mohammed Ali

10 Beliefs And Financial Decisions That Keep You Broke
10 Beliefs And Financial Decisions That Keep You Broke

10 Beliefs And Financial Decisions That Keep You Broke
Most people have no clear direction on how to manage money. They buy things they don’t need, mortgage their way through a lot, and fail to believe in their personal ability to liberate themselves from a financial fall. These negative beliefs and attitude towards money keeps over 70% of the population in every country in the lower ranks of the economy, with a heavy dependence on their various governments.
Living paycheque to paycheque and clearly not having a plan on how to manage your finances will leave you broke, month-in month-out.
Rather than looking out for quick loans, payday loans, or searching for how to make money online or offline, you should realign your focus and place it on first changing your attitude towards money.
When you understand how to manage your current income, reshape your beliefs, and make good financial decisions, your personal net worth would be far from broke.
Here Are 10 Beliefs And Financial Decisions That Keep So Many People Broke:
1). I Don’t Have What It Takes:
This is probably the greatest reason many people remain broke or never succeed in life. Before they even try, they negate themselves, and go even lower in their ranks.
The belief in one’s self and ability is the first step to making your dreams come true. If you cannot visualize yourself in that status, you’d never draw up a plan to get there.
Irrespective of whatever you may have been through in life, a superior belief in one’s self than in anything else is crucial to your overall success.
If you want to stop being broke and positively shape up your finances, begin to see yourself where you want to be, and do whatever it would take to get you there.
2). Money Can’t Buy Happiness:
The second a broke person joins the band wagon of people saying money can’t buy happiness, you’d know they’ve probably given up trying, and are trying to console their weak attitude towards solving their money problems.
Also avoid listening to this same phrase from the rich. They may have it all, be able to spend on vacations, luxury cars, and may have experienced critical problems money can’t solve, but that doesn’t give them the right to stop you from changing your financial mindset.
A wealthy person who tells you money can’t buy happiness can still cry in his/her Mercedes. Where would you cry in if you had the same predicament as them? A public bus?
No matter how they place it, facing your problems from a wealthy stance trumps any other situation.
If you’re serious about changing your financial status from a broke state, you need to start realising that money can make you happier in some ways.
Remember, “money can’t buy happiness, but poverty can’t buy anything!”Choose wisely.
3). Choosing To Mortgage Rather Than Pay Cash:
When a person who’s capable of buying out a certain item chooses to pay installmentaly over a long period of time, a large financial mistake has just been made.
Mortgage-like payments are silent financial killers. They’re constant monthly reminders that you’re not the real owner of what you’re paying for (yet). This doesn’t just put your finances in a fix, but also makes it difficult for you to have some savings or investments, especially when your monthly income is low.
Knowing that you could take just a little sum of your money to make monthly payments, makes a mortgage seem stress free, but by the third month and comparing the number of your other financial obligations, you realise you having nothing left to yourself.
Another common disadvantage of mortgaging (depending on the financial institution providing it) is, the property or item you acquired could be reclaimed from you, or the interest rate could be highly increased if you default on your payments for a period of time.
For example, if you’ve being paying the mortgage on your house for the past 12 years, and defaulted heavily on several repayment terms (usually on a non-payment for three months and more), all the payments done through the years would go to waste, and you could be left without both a refund and a house.
If you’re serious about owning a property, car, or whatever you wish, buy out if you can. But if you can’t, plan a long term acquisition model that would work better for you, than mortgaging your way through it.
4). Increasing Your Standard Of Living With Every Income Rise:
With every income rise of most people, their standard of living follows suite. These individuals live in the moment with their better statuses and forget that they are always one signature away from losing their jobs.
When your income rises, the logical step is to use your additional income to increase your asset base, while you maintain your current lifestyle, or make it a little bit more modest.
If your standard of living keeps rising exponentially with every salary raise or higher income earned, you could be back to square one after many years of financial ignorance.
5). Trying To Keep Up With Your Rich Friends:
Your colleague drives a new car to work, your neighbour buys the SUV everyone has been talking about, and some of you friends post photos of their luxury vacation to Thailand. The fact they are looking lavish and having all the expensive fun makes you feel entitled to it. But it shouldn’t.
The habits of the world’s most successful people before they got to their status, never involved spending most of their savings on trying to impress people. Instead, their lifestyles never drew any attention to them till their wealth could no longer stay hidden, and began to speak for itself.
Never follow the crowd. You can cheer them on their luxury cruises, while you create the experience the crowd pays for. Someday, their hard earned money would be going instead, into your own pockets, and you can live your life however you choose without the fear of a financial breakdown.
6). Buying Brand New Vehicles Instead Of Used:
When you’re still a middle-class or lower-class citizen, buying a brand new car is a total waste of money. There are used cars that are priced far lower, and still look almost as good as the brand new model.
People who buy brand new cars mostly put up the argument of not having to spend on repairs and several other issues a used car may encounter, but forget the second they paid for the brand new car, it’s value immediately depreciated.
Buying a brand new car is equivalent to throwing out $100 from your window every week for the next few years. Eventually, it’s value becomes worthless.
Your best bet as a person trying to change your financial situation is to only purchase good-looking used cars, and drive it till your finances have greatly improved, together with some valuable assets attached to your name. Doing this places part of your financial decisions on a positive route to getting you out of the rat-race.
7). Spending Your Future Today:
When you spend the profits your business generates before reinvesting it to multiply itself severally, the financial illiteracy exhibited wouldn’t just keep you broke, but would ensure you don’t own a business eventually.
Profits are meant to be reinvested over and over again. Where you reap from your investments at the beginning stages should only be from monthly allocated salaries.2
If you spend your future today before they have a chance to mature and prove their worth, you’d never make it to the fast track.
8). You Don’t Make And Stick To A Budget:
Budgeting is one of the most disciplined approach to ensuring you never exceed your expenditure mark. It’s like a finance 101 course which you must pass before you move on to the next year. Despite it’s importance, most people don’t stick or keep to a budget.
By thinking you don’t need a budget and assuming all your expenses can be controlled without one, your financial status wouldn’t eventually experience a meltdown, but would be coupled with some form of financial hardship.
Sticking to a properly planned budget will help you know where your money problems are coming from, and how you can improve to positively affect your finances.
9). You Have No Emergency Fund:
An emergency fund can be termed as a sum accumulated over a period of time through part-savings, only to be used on the rainy days.
When you need urgent cash to solve emergency problems and realise you have none or don’t have enough, it simply shows you have no emergency fund in place.
The wealthy always have something set aside to save them from a financial disaster. They keep those funds separated, so their financial future and status can be maintained.
If you cannot make good financial decisions like cultivating the habit of setting up an emergency fund for your unplanned events, then you may never break out of your financial bracket.
10). You Don’t Pay Yourself First:
This is one of the top reasons many people end up broke or poor. By paying yourself first, you put at least 10% of your income in a separate account to be used for future investments, emergencies, and other purposes.
Before you make financial decisions on how to spend your income, first take out a portion of it and place it in a savings account that must remain untouched till a viable business opportunity crops up.
Paying yourself first before any form of expenditure is one of the smartest financial decisions you will make as a person.

TOP 20 SECRETS OF SUCCESS
TOP 20 SECRETS OF SUCCESS AND THE PILLARS OF SELF MASTERY BY ROBIN S.SHARMA
1. Sleep less. This is one of the best investments you can make to make your life more productive and rewarding. Most people do not need more than 6 hours to maintain an excellent state of health. Try getting up one hour earlier for 21 days and it will develop into a powerful habit. Remember, it is the quality not the quantity of sleep that is important. And just imagine having an extra 30 hours a month to spend on the things that are important to you.
2. Set aside one hour every morning for personal development matters. Meditate, visualize your day, read inspirational texts to set the tone of your day, listen to motivational tapes or read great literature. Take this quiet period to vitalize and energize your spirit for the productive day ahead. Watch the sun rise once a week or be with nature. Starting the day off well is a powerful strategy for self-renewal and personal effectiveness.
3. Do not allow those things that matter the most in your life be at the mercy of activities that matter the least. Every day, take the time to ask yourself the question "is this the best use of my time and energy?" Time management is life management so guard your time with great care.
4. Use the rubber band method to condition your mind to focus solely on the most positive elements in your life. Place a rubber band around your wrist. Each time a negative, energy sapping thought enters your mind, snap the rubber band. Through the power of conditioning, your mind will associate pain with negative thinking and you will soon possess a strongly positive mindset.
5. Always answer the phone with enthusiasm in your voice and show your appreciation for the caller. Good phone manners are essential. To convey authority on the line, stand up. This will instill further confidence in your voice.
6. Throughout the day we all get inspiration and excellent ideas. Keep a set of cards (the size of business cards; available at most stationary stores) in your wallet along with a pencil to jot down these insights. When you get home, put the ideas in a central place such as a coil notepad and review them from time to time. As noted by Oliver Wendell Holmes: "Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions."
7. Set aside every Sunday evening for yourself and be strongly disciplined with this habit. Use this period to plan your week, visualize your encounters and what you want to achieve, to read new materials and inspirational books, to listen to soft soothing music and to simply relax. This habit will serve as your anchor to keep you focused, motivated and effective throughout the coming week.
8. Always remember the key principle that the quality of your life is the quality of your communication. This means the way you communicate with others and, more importantly, the way you communicate with yourself. What you focus on is what you get. If you look for the positive this is what you get. This is a fundamental law of Nature.
9. Stay on purpose, not on outcome. In other words, do the task because it is what you love to do or because it will help someone or is a valuable exercise. Don't do it for the money or the recognition. Those will come naturally. This is the way of the world.
10. Laugh for five minutes in the mirror each morning. Steve Martin does. Laughter activates many beneficial chemicals within the body that place us into a very joyous state. Laughter also returns the body to a state of balance. Laughter therapy has been regularly used to heal persons with varied ailments and is a wonderful tonic for life's ills. While the average 4 year old laughs 500 times a day, the average adult is lucky to laugh 15 times a day. Revitalize the habit of laughter, it will put far more living into your life.

11. Light a candle beside you when you are reading in the evening. It is most relaxing and creates a
wonderful, soothing atmosphere. Make your home an oasis from the frenzied world outside. Fill it with
great music, great books and great friends.
12. To enhance your concentration and powers of focus, count your steps when you walk. This is a particularly strong technique. Take six steps while taking a long inhale, hold your breath for another six steps, and then exhale for six steps. If six steps is too long for the breaths, do whatever you feel comfortable with. You will feel very alert, refreshed, internally quiet and centered after this exercise. So many people allow their minds to be filled with mental chatter. All peak performers appreciate the power of a quiet, clear mind which will concentrate steadily on all important tasks.
13. Learn to meditate effectively. The mind is naturally a very noisy machine which wants to move from one subject to another like an unchained monkey. One must learn to restrain and discipline it if one is to achieve anything of substance and to be peaceful. Meditation for twenty minutes in the morning and twenty minutes in the evening will certainly provide you with exceptional results if regularly practiced for six months. Learned sages of the East have been advancing the many benefits of meditation for over 5000 years.
14. Learn to be still. The average person doesn't spend even 30 minutes a month in total silence and tranquility. Develop the skill of sitting quietly, enjoying the powerful silence for at least ten minutes a day. Simply think about what is important to you in your life. Reflect on your mission. Silence indeed is golden. As the Zen master once said, it is the space between the bars that holds the cage.
15. Enhance your will-power; it is likely one of the best training programs you can invest in. Here are some ideas to strengthen your will and become a stronger person:
a. Do not let your mind float like a piece of paper in the wind. Work hard to keep it
focused at all times. When doing a task, think of nothing else. When walking to
work, count the steps that it takes to get all the way to the office. This is not easy
but your mind will soon understand that you hold its reins and not vice versa. Your mind must eventually become as still as a candle flame in a corner where
there is no draft.
b. Your will is like a muscle. You must first exercise it and then push before it gets stronger. This necessarily involves short term pain but be assured that the improvements will come and will touch your character in a most positive way. When you are hungry, wait another hour before your meal. When you are labouring over a difficult task and your mind is prompting you to pick up the
latest magazine for a break or to get up and go talk to a friend, curb the impulse. Soon you will be able to sit for hours in a precisely concentrated state. Sir Issac Newton, one of the greatest classical physicists the world has produced, once said: "if I have done the public any service, it is due to patient thought." Newton had a remarkable ability to sit quietly and think without interruption for very long
periods of time. If he can develop this so can you.
c. You can also build your will-power by restraint in your conduct with others. Speak less (use the 60/40 Rule = listen 60% of the time and speak a mere 40%, if that). This will not only make you more popular but you will learn much wisdom
as everyone we meet, every day has something to teach us. Also restrain the urge to gossip or to condemn someone who you feel has made a mistake. Stop complaining and develop a cheerful, vital and strong personality. You will greatly influence others.

d. When a negative thought comes to your mind, immediately replace it with one
that is positive. Positive always dominates over the negative and your mind has to
be conditioned to think only the best thoughts. Negative thinking is a conditioned
process whereby the negative patterns are established over and over. Rid yourself
of any limitations and become a powerful positive thinker.
16. Make an effort to be humorous throughout the day. Not only is it beneficial from a physical viewpoint but it diffuses tension in difficult circumstances and creates an
excellent atmosphere wherever you are. It was recently reported that members of the Tauripan tribe of South America have a ritual where they awake in the middle of the
night to tell each other jokes. Even tribesmen in the deepest sleep wake to enjoy the laugh and then return to their state of slumber in seconds.
17. Become a highly disciplined time manager. There are roughly 168 hours in a week. This surely allows plenty of time for achievement of the many goals we desire to accomplish. Be ruthless with your time. Set aside a few minutes each morning to plan your day. Plan around your priorities and focus on not only those tasks which are immediate but not important (i.e., many telephone calls) but especially on those which are important but not urgent, for these allow for the greatest personal and professional development. Important but not immediate activities are those which produce long-term, sustainable benefits and include exercise, strategic planning, the development of relationships and professional education. Never let the things which matter most be placed in the backseat as compared to those that matter least.
18. Associate only with positive, focused people who you can learn from and who will not drain your valuable energy with complaining and uninspiring attitudes. By developing relationships with those committed to constant improvement and the pursuit of the best that life has to offer, you will have plenty of company on your path to the top of whatever mountain you seek to climb.
19. Stephen Hawking, one of the great modern physicists of the world, is reported to have said that we are on a minor planet of a very average star located within the outer limits of one of a hundred thousand million galaxies. Are your problems really significant in light of this? You walk this Earth for but a short time. Why not become devoted to having only a wonderful experience. Why not dedicate yourself to leaving a powerful legacy to the world? Sit down now and write out a list of all that you have in your life. Start first with your health or your family - the things we often take for granted. Put down the country we live in and the food we eat. Do not stop until you have written down fifty items. Once every few days, go through this list - you will be uplifted and recognize the richness of your existence.
20. You must have a mission statement in life. This is simply a set of guiding principles which clearly state where you are going and where you want to be at the end of your life. A mission statement embodies your values. It is your personal lighthouse keeping you steadily on the course of your dreams. Over a period of one month, set a few hours aside to write down five or ten principles which will govern your life and which will keep you focused at all times. Examples might be to consistently serve others, to be a considerate citizen, to become highly wealthy or to serve as a powerful leader. Whatever the mission statement of your life, refine it and review it regularly. Then when something adverse happens or someone tries to pull you off course, you quickly and precisely return to your chosen path with the full knowledge that you are moving in the direction that you have selected.

Money isn't the most important thing in life, but it's reasonably close to oxygen on the "gotta have it" scale.
Every choice you make has an end result.
You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.
A lot of people quit looking for work as soon as they find a job.
People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.
It's not what you've got, it's what you use that makes a difference.
If you go looking for a friend, you're going to find they're very scarce. If you go out to be a friend, you'll find them everywhere.

It was character that got us out of bed,
commitment that moved us into action, and
discipline that enabled us to follow through.
Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes.
If you want to reach a goal, you must "see the reaching" in your own mind before you actually arrive at your goal.
A goal properly set is halfway reached.
Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.
You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.
The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.
Money won't make you happy... but everybody wants to find out for themselves.
If you learn from defeat, you haven't really lost.

Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in
order to become successful.
You cannot climb the ladder of success dressed in the costume of failure.
Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street. Remember that failure is an event, not a person. Every obnoxious act is a cry for help.
You cannot tailor-make the situations in life but you can tailor-make the attitudes to fit those situations.
Little men with little minds and little imaginations go through life in little ruts, smugly resisting all changes which would jar their little worlds.
When you are tough on yourself, life is going to be infinitely easier on you.
Success is the maximum utilization of the ability that you have

You can make positive deposits in your own
economy every day by reading and listening to
powerful, positive, life-changing content and by
associating with encouraging and hope-building
people.
You cannot perform in a manner inconsistent with the way you see yourself.
You do not pay the price of success, you enjoy the price of success.
Rich people have small TVs and big libraries, and poor people have small libraries and big TVs.
Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.
When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
The chief cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want right now.

A lot of people have gone further than they
thought they could because someone else thought
they could.
There are no traffic jams on the extra mile.
You are what you are and you are where you are because of what has gone into your mind. You change what you are and you change where you are by changing what goes into your mind.
If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.
The more you are grateful for what you have the more you will have to be grateful for.
Motivation gets you going and habit gets you there.
If standard of living is your major objective, quality of life almost never improves, but if quality of life is your number one objective, your standard of living almost always improves.
You can't bit a target that you can't see. If you don't know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else. You have to have goals.

Everybody says they want to be free. Take the
train off the tracks and it’s free-but it can’t go
anywhere.
It's not how far you fall, but how high you bounce that counts.
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.
The greatest of all mistakes is to do nothing because you think you can only do a little.
If you can dream it, you can achieve it.

5 ways to make money in the 21st century
In today's world; the population of the rich and wealthy is declining at a very fast and quick rate, known ways like saving money, investing in properties, stocks and other means that were used over time to accumulate wealth are no more efficient in wealth creation today
By now a lot of us know that the relevance of a college Degree has dropped due to the high numbers of people pursuing and possessing the same degree you have all over the world.
Some will blame it on the current economic conditions that we often find ourselves but despite all the struggle and hustle people are still making head way in this century, especially the youth, due to the fast and wild acceptance of the Internet.
This is a shocking discovery given the Internet has not been around for a century,
Which brings me to 5 WAYS TO MAKE MONEY IN THE 21st CENTURY
This is not a get rich quick scheme and you would have to be patient to benefit from this
1.PRODUCT
in the current day and Age we humans are often seen as Elements of production; big company used us for production purposes like for instance an auto mobile industry needs Engineers for production and a fertilizer plant needs skilled people to mix the ingredients necessary for production. Don't get me wrong we need machines but someone has to power and monitor the job.
In other to make money we have to view and see ourselves as a Products .what can I sell ?,what are my strong holds?,what do I have to offer? what are my Talents and gifts? As a Rich man once said "we are a product of our imagination"
2.MARKET/MARKETING
when you look at the consent of making money you will find out it involves buying and selling of a product and in other for you to make profit, gain, returns or whatever you call it you would need a little knowledge of the Area you are willing to operate in; and also a form of advertising to entice people towards your product, this concept is known as market and marketing.
In other to make money you have to understand your environment. What do they think of me? what do I need to be outstanding? What do they want? what do they need? then you have to have a marketing strategy a way to make people want your product. A popular way businesses do it is to organize calculated sales, Discounts, and promotions
3.GOAL/TARGET
a lot of us wealth and money seekers are very familiar with this consent, it has been around for generations and most of us hear it all the time either from our parents, Teachers, motivational books, Televisions or even our Radios. I can say it is one fundamental wealth creation step that still exists today because it takes into consideration ones qualities and limitations.
In other to make money you have to set goals and have targets
A lot of banks, Financial and Government Institutions use this fundamental concept to create income and wealth for their organizations; what are my long and short time goals? where should I be in 5years? what needs improvement? If this plan fails what do I have as back up? is this plan feasible?, whether we like it or not goals and target are outlines for either destruction or success .
4.REPRESENTATION AND REBRANDING
The way you represent yourself is very important in making money. A lot of successful Businesses use modern methods to represent their businesses like Apple. A Youth based Business uses young energetic people in marketing their product, they also use smart methods like smart phones, iPads market their products to their proposed customers. How should I be viewed? How am I seen? what do I represent?.
The term rebranding is a concept that is wildly accepted in the 21st century ranging from software updates to changing of colors, slogans, Logos and some times design by big business.
The reason this is very important in making money is because we Humans are physiological attracted to new things, we love new trends, Songs, new phones and so on. If you stick to your old methods you will find out over time you would be outdated and irrelevant.
5.APPEARANCE
There is a saying that "never judge a book by its cover" but we often find ourselves in a world that is constantly judging us. Most of us have to act in certain ways to be accepted by society, I am not saying you should not be unique but what I am trying to say is there is a big price difference between a Gucci belt and a regular belt from your everyday stores regardless of the materials being the same.
CONCLUSION
A lot of us would wonder that these steps are business oriented but if we often treat ourselves as a business majority of us won't be in the financial struggle we find ourselves today.
It is very glaring that most of these ways are not the conventional get rich schemes we are all used to hearing or reading; and I am sure a lot of Critics would rise but one thing is certain in other to make money in the 21st century you have to be known- ,,, with your approaches and methods
